Registered
All our engineers are fully qualified and certified in oil central heating and boiler installations and are OFTEC-registered technicians.
If you have not had your oil boiler serviced in over 6 months, it is time to give us a call. We can help things run effectively and improve efficiency, which means less wear and tear on the system, helping to reduce your energy bills.
Over time, a boiler can become gunked up and dirty with soot, oil and water deposits, which leads to costly breakdowns. If your boiler is burning up more oil than necessary, it could be due to these clogged filters or filters that aren’t flowing properly.
Condensation buildup in your tank can also be a problem. It takes up space that you should be using for heating oil and requires regular cleaning to keep your tank in good working order. Water can get into your home heating oil tank in a number of ways, such as rainwater ingress due to an ill-fitting filler cap, loose inspection lid, corroded seals, damaged vents and more regularly through condensation build-up.

5 Things to know about Oil
1. Oil heat is safe
Unlike natural gas, fuel oil is not explosive, and inhalation of fuel oil fumes is not fatal. The possibility of carbon monoxide entering the home from an oil burner is very low.
2. Oil heat is clean and dependable
With oil heating, you never have to worry about whether you’ll run out of oil. You choose how to use and conserve your supply as you need it. Oil heating systems are efficient, and because you control the supply, you can conserve oil when it’s cold out (which lowers your heating bills), and use more when it’s warmer.
3. Oil heat is environmentally friendly
This is why oil heating has been recognized by many experts as being a natural choice for the environment. The importance of reducing emissions in our daily lives can not be overstated, and oil heat gives us an efficient way to do just this.
4. Oil heat is energy-efficient
When you heat your home with a heating oil furnace, you will enjoy years of comfort and convenience and save money. Efficiency ratings of new oil heat appliances range from 83% to 95% and can have an average life expectancy of 30 or more years if properly maintained.
5. Oil supplies can meet the demand
Oil is a fossil fuel that burns cleanly and efficiently. Compared to other forms of energy, an oil-fired boiler has a lower greenhouse gas emission footprint than any other heating fuel. It is also a plentiful, reliable and affordable choice for home heating.
